Calleya Community Garden

Calleya Community Garden

An exciting project involving local community members of the Stockland Calleya Development in Treeby. The park has been designed by Ross Mars and Earthcare following input from a number of well-attended community workshops.

Earthcare Landscapes have been able to incorporate recycled materials into nearly every aspect of the construction of the gardenstructures and surfaces

Paths are made from recycled builder waste road base with cement stabilisation. The recycled road base is created from crushed concrete and brick products.

Gabion Planters were filled with broken bricks and tiles were ‘intercepted’ prior to crushing Brick planters were constructed from discarded bricks from local building sites.

Covered Shelter to be used as Meeting space, Classroomand shade is constructed form large profile recycled timber Jarrah timber bearers and recycledpine roof frame.

The Community Garden was opened in November 2019 and will be managed by the Treeby Residents Association.
